- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Optional Add-Ins
- ¼ cup olive oil or pesto sauce
- 1 tsp red chili flakes (for heat)
- 1 tbsp fresh basil or parsley, chopped
- ¼ cup toasted pine nuts or crushed walnuts
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta
- Boil pasta in salted water according to package instructions.
- Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
- Prepare the Proteins
- Season chicken, shrimp, or tofu with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Cook in a skillet with olive oil until golden brown.
- Sauté Vegetables
- In the same skillet, add vegetables and sauté until tender.
- Combine and Mix
- Toss the cooked pasta with sauce, protein, and vegetables.
- Add reserved pasta water for desired consistency.
- Garnish and Serve
- Top with Parmesan cheese, fresh basil, and a drizzle of olive oil.
