Instructions
- Prepare the Crust and Crumble Topping:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt until crumbly. Set aside 1/3 of the mixture for the topping. Press remaining mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9×9-inch baking pan to form the crust. - Prepare the Apple Filling:
In a large bowl, combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Toss until apples are evenly coated. - Assemble and Bake:
Spread apple filling over the crust. Sprinkle reserved crumble mixture on top. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until golden and apples are tender. - Cool and Serve:
